Watershow synchronized with music for the 34th German Protestant Church Congress in Hamburg

With its street festival, the Northern part of the German Protestant Church provided lots of opportunities to spend some diverting days in Hamburg. Visitors could chose between 2500 events in 400 places. The evening blessing was issued in two different locations at a time. One of them took place at the interior Alster, the other one in the Harbour City in the Grasbrook Harbour. In both of them, the element water played an important role, as it is a characteristic element of Hamburg. The executing company for this part was aqua-in-motion.com from Augsburg, which provided the visual highlight of this evening with a team of 10 persons.
12 moving water jets were put on a 60-meter-long swimming platform. This length was even new for the local conferrer of swimming platforms. The water jets were provided by 12 single pumps which made it to an entire power of 120000 Watt.

In addition, they were illuminated by 12 moving lights. The colours were not chosen randomly, but behind every image of water and light there was a specific story or idea. So, for example, two water jets accompanied the ringing of the bells at the beginning of the Mass and one water jet belonged to each of the intercessions during the Lord's Prayer. At the end of the prayer, they came together to form a huge candle. Together with its 150.000 smaller relatives, which every visitor held in his hands, this candle created an amazing light spectacle around the whole harbour. Other images were the rainbow effect towards the end of the Mass, which was a symbol for God's alliance with the people and green and blue were chosen as symbols for hope and for the Church Congress itself.
The company has met very positive feedback as the visitors – among whom there was also Federal President Joachim Gauck – appreciated that something extraordinary was shown during the most important evening of the street festival.
