Presentation of the new Range Rover Evoque

On the 16th September was the big day: PowerLightsAugsburg organized the official launch of the new Range Rover Evoque. The project being right at the pulse of the city, the idea of creating a water show developed, following the example set by Las Vegas. The car dealership “Werner Haas”, which has been existing for over 50 years, spared no trouble for realising this idea.

With choosing the Lake of Friedberg for this event, the organizers hit the bull´s eye. The sun deck of the Seehaus and the idyllic lake were the perfect surroundings for this event. With the lake as a basis for a gigantic multimedia show also the team from PowerLightsAugsburg started to put their foot down.

Centre of the show was a “life-size” model of the new Evoque, which was put on a 18-metre-wide swimming construction together with spouts, nozzles and lighting equipment.

At sunset the breath-taking show started: moving light, fog effects and everything programmed synchronously to appropriate music. In the beginning, nobody could see how the Evoque looked like, because the model was kept in the dark for the first half of the show. Only outlines were visible.

Gradually, more and more gigantic water spouts shot up while they were illuminated in various colours. Then the Evoque was integrated into the show by being illuminated with flash lights for a fleeting moment. The spouts became dramaturgically higher and higher, until they reached a height of about 30 metres; then a loud bang caused by pyrotechnics introduced the extension of the show. From then on the audience watched a spectacular show which combined fireworks, water spouts and light. As ending of the show, a picture of light is lighted showing the “Evoque”-stroke and engraves itself in the audience’s retinas and memories.

An extraordinary show for an extraordinary vehicle.
